Malou Beauvoir -November events

Dear friends,

This past month has gone by in a flurry of joy and activity!

First and most important, I received an amazing BIRTHDAY Gift on Sept 26! The birth of my beautiful "Glam son" , Leo Haim Schulberg Schwarz! Born to his proud parents, Chloe and Alon, he came out in full form (9lbs) and has been eating up a storm ever since. He is, without question, the cutest baby I've ever seen. I'm not posting his photo.. secret beauty!

Los Angeles - My house exchange for 1 month with PAM REDMOND was simply miraculous. Who would have thought that swapping lives for 4 weeks could be such an amazing experience. As I drove up to her little jewel of a house near Franklin Village , amidst lush gardens in the Hollywood hills, I discovered another way of life, where the sunshines everyday and people take their time when ordering their coffee, laughingly suggesting you try an organic or vegan pastry. I drove alot..and traffic was a constant companion since the city is so spread out, but it wasn't an issue as people are less stressed and more relaxed in general. The one thing L.A. takes very seriously is working out and after my 2nd Mega reformer class, my class pass stayed dormant til I left.....uhh next trip! But the amazing thing was the quiet. As compared to NY, it was almost scary to hear nothing but the hooting of an owl or the howl of a coyote. The events, Leo's Bris, my OUR VODOU book signing and mini concert were so much fun and filled with friends and family. I even discovered a new cousin!

I think this house /life exchange idea is wonderful and I want to extend it beyond L.A., to Europe and else where. How great to leave your keys for a month to trusted friends and take aflight to a brand new life in another state or country.

But back to NY where these next 2 months are packed!

Join Malou Beauvoir and Pianist Andy Ezrin - "OUR FAVORITE THINGS"

A journey through the years with music that we both grew up on and songs that we particularly love - rearranged for piano & voice. I was lucky to meet Andy who arranged my 4 jazz album "Is this Love", on which "Papa Damballah" was first released. I look forward to this magical evening at PAC in Manhattan.
